Ribeye

Ribeye

Compared to Striploin, it has less fat. But it has fine fat-marbling which makes it tender overall. If you enjoy lean with strong meaty flavor, this is for you.

Ribeye's FAQ

  • Q Which part is Ribeye Roast from?
A It is from the Rib/back part of cow. Ribeye has the best fat-marbling among cuts from Rib part. It's called Ribeye Roll in the USA, and Cube Roll in Australia. The fat-marbling looks beautiful and it has depth of flavor which is perfect for steaks and roast.
  • Q How should I Cook it?
A Depends on how thick it is. But first we recommend slow-cook then sear on high-heat as a finish-up. Searing it on high-heat from the beginning also works and quicker. However, it easily gets tough if you overcook it. Medium-rare is the best.

Great lightly pan-fried
We tend to cook these medium-rare to rare in the pan with just some pepper and salt rubbed in. Not quite as tender as the fillet steaks but still great beef and a reasonable price.

Ribeye delicious
This was a wonderful steak, one of the best that I have ever had. Cooked up with some onions, garlic, and mushrooms, the taste was sublime. Cool if it came on sale often.

Meat day bargain
Bought this beautiful piece of beef on sale on the February 29 Meat Day. We haven't eaten it yet as we're saving it for our first Spring barbecue. But we know it'll be a succulent treat as we've already enjoyed smaller delicious Meat Guy ribeye cuts. I was so happy to see this cut on sale! My in-laws are in for a real treat.
