DESCRIPTION
Straight from the land down under: blocks of roo meat!
The best of the Kangaroo. These loins make great steaks, we recommend medium rare. One of the most tender and tastiest steaks you'll ever have!
Kangaroo has a wonderful gamey taste that adds a lot of flavor without being overpowering. A very healthy alternative to other meat cuts.
Low in fat, high nutritional values, high protein, low cholesterol. PLUS, Since Australian kangaroos are free-range, they do not contain any growth hormones or artificial chemicals. These meats are safe export products.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Enjoy the natural flavor of kangaroo by cooking it like any normal beef steak: medium rare.
【Kangaroo Striploin Steak Royale】
1. Allow the meat to come back to room temperature before grilling. (approx. 30mins.~)
2. Pat dry, drizzle with some olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
3. Place on a hot pan and cook each side for about 5 mins. (Time may vary depending on the thickness of meat.)
4. Once each side is a nice golden brown, transfer to a plate and cover with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 10 mins.
5. Finish it off by returning it to a hot pan and searing each side for about 30 mins.
6. Slice thin, and enjoy!
Roo meat is low in fat, so it'll stay delicious and soft even after it cools down. Try other variations like roo meat salad and roo sandwiches.
We'd love to hear how you like to enjoy your roo! :)
IN DEPTH
Kangaroo meat lovers are growing by the day 'cause of all the health and environmental benefits! Oh, and did we mention it's delicious too!
Since it's game meat, it goes without saying that this doesn't contain any growth hormones, antibiotics or other harmful chemicals. By that definition, it could be considered organic. Buuut, to officially call it that, it must be caught and raised at a certified organic farm... So it's not officially organic, but it's free-range and chemical free!
Kangaroo meat is perfect for athletes or those on a diet.
"Meat" has been getting a lot of flak recently, having the reputation of making people "fat" or how it's not that good for people on a diet.
We're here to argue that that may be a huge generalization! Here are a couple point for why we recommend kangaroo meat:
① Conjugated Linoleic Acids (CLA)
CLA is a type of healthy fat. One of the unsaturated fatty acids that cannot be produced in the body. Kangaroo meat is a rich source of CLA which is said to be effective in helping the body burn off accumulated fat. Roo meat has 6 times more of this than beef.
② Ultra low fat and cholesterol
Kangaroo meat contains very low fat. Only about 1%! Also, about half of that fat is composed of unsaturated fatty acids which is great for the body! Furthermore, there is only 54mg of cholesterol per 100g of meat! The same 100grams of pork contains 84mg!
③ High Protein
Not convinced yet? Weeellllll this should seal the deal! Roo meat is an excellent source of protein! Protein is important for muscles, blood and bones. Roo meat contains 23.6g of protein per 100g. This is more than the protein-rich chicken breast that has 21.3g. Incorporate some moderate exercise with this awesome kangaroo meat, and you're on your way to building a muscular and well-metabolized body!
THAWING
The thawing time depends on many factors such as size, weight, packaging, and type of meat.

Very Good if you like gamey meat!Just A Good Ol' Boy2020/05/03Really enjoyed this. Good gamey flavor, but not too much. Zero fat. With no fat in the meat it naturally is a bit tough, but you can't compare this to marbled beef as it is not an appropriate comparison, and it defintely is not shoe leather tough at all. Just a nice slightly chewy, gamey meat. If looking for something different and like wild meats this is great. You definitely don't want to over cook/grill it. Medium rare is perfect, don't cook beyond this. I brushed it with olive oil then applied a rub made from chopped rosemary petals, miniced garlic, pepper, and salt. Would grill it this way again. Maybe this coming weekend....
