The ever popular striploin in a 500g block. Perfect for grilling whole and carving. This is one of our most popular items, it's easy to cook, super tasty, and really fun to serve as a single steak. My recommendation: coat with our famous Stake Seasoning then throw it on the grill, first searing over direct heat then cooking off to the side. Should take about 15 to 20 minutes depending on how hot your grill gets.

Serving Suggestion

If you like you can cut the block into smaller steaks for the grill. All you need is a sprinkle of our "Stake Spice" - for the ones who would like it more natural: Our sea salt. Find the items at the bottom of the page under related items.

In Depth

The expiration date of this block will be about three to four days after delivery. Please eat one to two days after opening. If you're going to freeze this, we recommend cutting the block into the sizes you think you'll need beforehand. Try not to let the striploin block out in the open air for too long and put it in an airtight bag to freeze as soon as you can. This striploin block is from either Australia or New Zealand (grass-fed beef), is never frozen and is specially cut every day for just the amount of orders we have. Then they're quickly packed up and shipped straight to you.

  • Great price/performance
    My family (2 plus a 4th grader) has one of these every month or a bit more often. We put it in the toaster oven about 21 minutes @ 650W, which gets the internal temp up to the required 49C-50C. Then we sear it on max temp about 90 seconds a side. This isn't what would would be USDA Prime in the US, more like choice, not super-marbled, but still an incredible dinner for 3. We often make a green pepper sauce (au poivre) or have it with a parmesan risotto. I've been buying them for a decade and will keep doing so.

    The Meat Guy's Grass-Fed Striploin block can't be beat. This is the one I cook when I want a real honest-to-God steak. Great flavor, always tender and juicy. I think he should change his name to "Meat God."
