These whole chickens are great. Pop one in the oven and in 45 minutes you have dinner for two. 

Thawing Time: 1-2 days in the refrigerator 


You can season this bird generously with all the spices you like. I remember that my mother used a lot of mustard to bath the chicken, giving it a nice spicy touch, but that part is all up to you. Definitely make sure to rub in the chicken spice we send you with this one before cooking! 

1. Preheat oven to about 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Place chicken in a roasting pan, and season generously inside and out with salt, pepper and anything else you like.

3. Place some butter, onions and sliced apples in the chicken cavity.

4. Bake uncovered for up to 1 hour and 15 minutes in the preheated oven, to a minimum internal temperature of 180 degrees F (82 degrees C). Remove from heat, and baste with melted margarine and drippings. Cover with aluminum foil, and allow to rest about 30 minutes before serving.

  • Great chicken and spices

    Popped this in my electric oven after giving it a generous cover with the spices and some olive oil, let it rest for an hour and then started cooking.

    It comes frozen, so it's best you let it thaw for a day or more before cooking.
    It is also worth mentioning this chicken is halal. (Or at least the chicken I got was halal, unsure if multiple brands are used)

    If your oven is small, I recommend tying it with some cooking rope, otherwise it might rub against your oven's broiling element and it'll start to smoke.
    My chicken sadly had a cut in its thigh and I had to tie it up, but it did not hurt the cooking process or the cooking in general, it came out great!
  • The Griller was grilling’
    I recommend purchasing this particular whole chicken because it comes with the spice. The spice is really good . I liked it so much I researched to find which spice they used and purchased it separately. Anyway, it makes for an easy dinner. I’m Jamaican so this is how I prepared it - in a nutshell- I let it defrost in the refrigerator, washed it, seasoned it with the spice let it marinate overnight and popped it in the oven for dinner the next day. My family said it was juicy and delicious. Go ahead and order it.
