My wife made a pot of beef bean vegetable soup the other day, which we will be enjoying for the next several days. She always follows the same recipe, namely mine as handed down to me from my Dad. This time, however, instead of the so-called stew meat she normally uses, she used 500 grams of the steak cubes. The steak cubes give the soup a really nice flavor, much better than the flavor we get with "stew" meat.
I plan to make some Texas red chili with the cubes soon. That'll be good!!
I have never cooked beef cubes before but back home, I ate them from food places and the beef is usually very chewy and hard to eat. This beef is not like that! I was nervous that I would not have the proper pot to cook them but they were so tender and perfect! Definitely will order it when it’s back in stock!
