Nicky's Take
Using this palm-sized chicken makes this dish easier to cook and eat!
We used common ingredients, but it still has a deep and authentic flavor!
Directions
-
Wash the rice and soak it in water for about 1 hour.
-
After soaking, drain the water, then coat the rice in sesame oil.
-
Wash the chicken, then wipe off the moisture. Season both the exterior and interior with salt.
-
Mix the rice and garlic paste, then stuff it into the chicken. Close the opening with a toothpick.
-
Place the chicken in a pot along with the water, sake, garlic, ginger, green part of the spring onion, and simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes, removing the foam along the way.*Make sure that the meat is thoroughly cooked all the way to the center.
-
Season with chilli pepper, and you're done! Break the chicken open and mix the rice with the soup. You can adjust the flavor with some coarsley ground black pepper, and serve it with some coriander or kimchi as you like.

You can be a better man if you can make this and add it to your hotpot repertoire. Plus, it goes well with alcohol.
