    The 180g and 250g filet mignon are both nice thick-cut steaks. 180g makes a good meal for one or a slightly smaller meal for two although it depends on your appetite. Quality is excellent, the only problem is price (a few times a year it's on sale and becomes better value). Recommended accompaniment : pepper sauce, with roast potatoes and veg. We have them for special occasions (birthdays, etc.)

    I made this after letting the filet mignon defrost in the fridge, uncovered on a wire rack, for a few days so we could get a bit of a dry aging effect. Ended up doing the cold sear Pam method of cooking, flipping every couple of minutes, and using a meat thermometer, taking it out about 7° lower than the medium rare setting. Because of the thickness of these, and the tenderness, these things came out so fantastic! Highly recommended! I just wish I took a picture of it to make you all jealous.

    Got these steaks on sale and it was a great buy. Although the cut was a bit small for me it was very tender and delicious and satisfying. Hopefully there’ll be a sale on the bigger cuts soon! Very highly recommended.

    I sprinkled steak spice on all sides, seared this steak in coconut oil in my InstantPot, and then pressure-cooked it with a little water added for about 2 minutes. Pressure-cooking is not recommended for steaks but this steak turned out perfectly. I will definitely order this steak again!

    I always gravitate to the steaks with some fat in them because I thought that made them tender. I was wrong. Filets are soft and wonderful. We cooked them on coals and I fell in love. I will buy them again when they are on sale. Thank you.

    Petite or not, this juicy and delicious cut made two of us happy. We cooked with garlic butter, salt and pepper and voila! The meat guys never disappoint. Next up, all the fixings for Taco Tuesday!
