Let me start by saying that I've always had success ordering from the meat guy with delicious steaks up until now. Unfortunately, these ribeyes were not ribeyes. The moment I thawed them out and took them out of the packaging, I could tell that this was a different cut of meat. They were almost entirely fat-free and oddly shaped. I grilled them as I usually do and they turned out ok, but far from great. Pretty tuff meat compared to the usual ribeye. Too bad but I can't recommend this product.
I cooked this steak at a bbq with a few friends and it was a smash hit. I used a digital thermometer to get it right at medium rare, threw a butter, garlic, thyme sauce over it and bam—so good! I highly recommend this succulent steak.
