Description

This new sausage entered our sausage family in 2017. It has been in the pipeline for years, we have been going on and off with the trial and errors. We have used a team of top class international scientists including three monkeys. This is the result: A 50% beef and 50% pork smoky beef sausage.
Why the pork you ask? To make the sausage juicy. Yes, we have tried the beef only but a sausage this size with only beef is just too chewy. We have a 100% beef sausage in a smaller size. See related items below.
You get a juicy beefy sausage with a fantastic smoky bbq aroma that makes you go "mhhhhh...nice" once you open the pack. One sausage is 80g. You get 5 sausages in a pack. It goes perfectly with our hot dog buns.
This sausage comes in a vacuum sealed nylon polybag which is suitable for sous-vide.
You can simply place the sausages as is from the freezer into a boiling pot of water for approx. 15 min.
See instructions below. If you're still looking for a bit of motivation, try a sausage taster set with buns!

Serving Suggestion

We recommend cooking these in a frying pan or grilling the way it is (no added seasonings)!
In doing so, you'll be able to enjoy the original natural taste of the sausages. Cook until the casing stretches out over the meat, and the inside is thoroughly cooked. It might take longer than a normal supermarket sausage, but it's well worth the wait!

Thawing

The thawing time depends on many factors such as size, weight, packaging, and type of meat.

THAWING

Thaw frozen products slowly at low temperatures.
If thawing in ice water, the recommended time-length is about 4 hours per kg.
If thawing in the refrigerator, it takes about 24 hours per kg.
You can thaw it while in the package, but the package may open during thawing, causing leakage, so we recommend double-bagging or thawing on a tray or bowl.

This is one of my favorites among the Meat Guy’s many sausage varieties. The combination of beef and pork and the delicious smoky flavor make them especially good as hot dogs, in my opinion.

100% recommend

Flavour and texture really good. Size is also good. Much better than the sausages that I buy on japanese supermarket.

These are excellent sausages

With a blend of beef and pork with a delicious smokey accent, these sausages are perfect served with eggs for breakfast, as hot dogs for lunch, etc. Also a great addition to a summer barbecue. I'm definitely getting these again!

Smoky beef & pork sausages

I used to buy these when they were available a few years ago, and was sorry to see them disappear. I'm really happy to see they've made a comeback. :)

The taste and texture are both very good, indeed, and the mildly smoky aroma is great. I put a couple of these in a section of a baguette, for a tasty sandwich. They're good as breakfast sausages, too, but I particularly like them in sandwiches (they make brilliant hot dogs).

Great combo

Is there any better combination of meats than beef and pork? I don't think so! Smokey flavour gives it an extra dimension. Thumbs up!

Good Sausage

I have to say the texture and taste was great. But while simmering them in beer and onions, 2 of the 5 had large air pockets in them which eventually burst.
It would be nice if the sausages would be packed with a small piece of parchment or something allowing them to be easily separated with out thawing all.

I never liked sausages until I tried these smokey treats. I simmered them with an IPA and then fried them up for a bit of colour. The taste was great! I'll be recommending these to my friends.
