DESCRIPTION

"Jambon de Bayonne" is made with traditional methods in the Adour River basin in southwestern France. It is carefully aged for 12 months in Atlantic sea salt and is one of the highest-ranking hams, holding the Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP) recognized by the French government. Characterized by a mellow salty flavor and nutty aroma, you can enjoy the authentic French taste at home. Enjoy the luxury of freshly cut ham, which can only be achieved from the whole log.

Since it is boneless, it is relatively compact and easy to store.

SERVING SUGGESTION

The 5mm from the surface or so is inedible. Scrape off the surface with a knife first.
Then, use a knife to slice the clean meat to your desired thickness and enjoy.

• When sliced thin, the fat melts smoothly in your mouth.
• Pair with baguette, cheese, and fruit (melon, fig, grapes, etc.).

• Simply pair it with a baguette to bring out the quality of the ingredients.

Storage Method

• Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, high temperatures and humidity.
• The cut surface dries out easily. When storing it, cover it tightly with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out.
• The surface may become dirty or mildewed, but this can be easily removed by wiping it off with a cloth.
• It can be stored for 2-3 months after you start eating it, but ideally you should consume it all within a month to preserve the flavor.
