Goat Tenderloins (3pc.)
DESCRIPTION
A 250g pack of thinly sliced goat tenderloins from Australia. There are two types of goats.
Goat meat is considered a red meat, but according to the USDA, it's lower in cholesterol and fat than chicken, beef, and pork, and has about the same amount of protein. Plus, it tastes surprisingly good!
Surprising because goat is not one of those meats that are supposed to taste good, right?
SERVING SUGGESTION
Usually, goat dishes include lots of spices so that the meat doesn't taste like goat anymore.
But because this is a good goat, it tastes great grilled with just a little salt and pepper. You can also go with a nice rub and fry the steaks in olive oil. Sprinkle or rub with salt, pepper, garlic, marjoram, rosemary, and thyme. Sear the meat on all sides in a hot frying pan, about 1 minute on each side, depending on your preferred doneness and cooking devices. Goat meat goes well with side dishes such as green beans, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce.
THAWING
The thawing time depends on many factors such as size, weight, packaging, and type of meat.
