If you're from the States (and particularly if you're a New Yorker), you'll be disappointed in what masquerades as 'cheesecake' in Japan (unless you go to Outback or TGIFs). TMG offers a great option. During the last Christmas/New Years holiday I had prepared a very large American style feast for my new family here in Japan (with most things having been shipped directly from the States). The 18 dishes and five different desserts were all made from scratch. In the end I ran out of time, and couldn't produce the promised cheesecake. Knowing I wasn't going to make it I ordered this. From dozens of cheesecake disappointments in Japan, I was skeptical over the 'New York styled' moniker, as that language is pervasive in Japan, and typically just wrong (along with everyone here wearing NYC logo clothing, who have never even been there). Well...I must give props to TMG. While it may not be my beloved cheesecake from Juniors back home, it was amazing! Definitely give this a try if you want the taste of real cheesecake. You won't be disappointed.
