Wonderful by itself for stock. I also save up chicken and turkey bones and boil together to make bone broth bouillon cubes to use for everyone, including the dog, so omit onions, adding them later for people soup, and boil it down until it solidifies like Knox Blox when cooled. Then I can cut it up and freeze in my little Japanese freezer. And I save a couple of the bones in the freezer for my little dog, Eve. Her eyes simply light up with joy when I bring one out for her. Just the right size for a large small dog, who tends to try to swallow things whole.
