Serving Suggestion

Instructions

1. Mix the bread cubes and ham pieces with the spice mix (adjust the amount of spice to your liking.)

2. Add one cup of boiling water and be careful not to burn yourself.

3. Mix well. It is OK to dance while you are mixing.

4. Bake in 200 degree Celsius oven for 15-20 minutes.

*For better stuffing use 1 half cup turkey/chicken drippings and 1 half cup of boiling water.

*For even better stuffing use 1 half cup turkey/chicken drippings and 1 half cup hot white wine.

*For truly fabulous stuffing also throw in some nuts and dried fruit. Serve with gravy, lots of gravy.

This mix is easy to use and delicious. I cooked up some onion and celery in butter and added it to the stuffing mix using The Meat Guy stuffing herbs and spices. Once it was mixed, I started adding chicken broth (I used Kirkland, but you can use granules -- just dilute them in water first), until the mix was sufficiently moist. I stuffed the bird with it. It added a lot of flavor to the turkey and the stuffing. I'm buying double the amount this year.

Likes: I cooked this separately from my turkey, with Japanese consumme cubes and it came out great! The meat chunks were a nice touch, they added a lot of flavor in addition to the spices. Of course, cooking it in the turkey or with drippings would be even better, but the flavor was good as is.
Dislike: The moisture was somewhat uneven. There were some dry bread chunks, and some overly wet ones. It's easy to overlook if you have gravy, but I think you have to pay attention to how well you mix it before cooking to make it cook evenly.
