There are two types of goats. The dirty, stinky goats like what the people down the road from us used to have. Those kind of goats live on trash, can't be contained in any type of enclosure, and will occasionally attack small children.
This meat is from the other type of goat. The good type. Goat meat is considered a red meat, but according to the USDA, it's lower in cholesterol and fat than chicken, beef, and pork, and has about the same amount of protein. Plus, it tastes surprisingly good! Surprising because goat is not one of those meats that are supposed to taste good, right?
Usually, goat dishes include lots of spices so that the meat doesn't taste like goat anymore. But because this is a good goat, it tastes great grilled with just a little salt and pepper.
You can also go with a nice rub and fry the steaks in olive oil.
Sprinkle or rub with salt, pepper, garlic, marjoram, rosemary, and thyme. Sear the meat on all sides in a hot frying pan, about 1 minute on each side, depending on your preferred doneness and cooking devices. Goat meat goes well with side dishes such as green beans, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce.

I bought this to attempt a Jamaican curry goat dish. Wifey had been fantasizing about the goat she had had the last time we were in Jamaica. It was then up to me to surprise her. The goat tenders from TMG were good quality cuts, and VERY easy to work with. Although I have had this dish hundreds of times (I was born in NYC, but my father was Jamaican), I had never actually prepared it myself (just observed my parents making it when I was a kid growing up, and a million time in restaurants in NYC and JA). I can say that it came out amazingly delicious! Wifey absolutely loved it...thus, mission accomplished.
Trust me when I tell you that there are literally NO decent Jamaican restaurants in Japan; zero, so do your recipe research, and do it yourself! TMG is a good place to start.
