Description
You've probably already eaten raw horse in one of Japan's izakayas, most likely unknowingly and drunk. These cubes are made to be enjoyed while sober, so just imagine how great they taste when you've been drinking!
These horse cubes are seasoned with parsley and oregano. We vacuum pack and freeze them immediately.
A very good and tender cut of meat is used to make these cubes and they're the perfect size so that they'll cook all the way through on a BBQ in a short amount of time. Horse meat is similar to beef but has a slightly sweet taste and is usually leaner.
We cut this meat into cubes and they come with 10 long bamboo sticks so you can make skewers, kebabs, kabobs, whatever you call them, with a mix of vegetables if you like. Serve them to unsuspecting guests at a BBQ.
Serving Suggestion
Make your own skewers with vegetables and throw them on the grill or in the frying pan for a few minutes. Horse meat is similar to beef but is sweeter and resembles wild game meat. The natural sweetness makes a good combination with bacon or other strong flavors.
Thawing
The thawing time depends on many factors such as size, weight, packaging, and type of meat. Please refer to our thawing chart ≫here≪

-Guest2017/10/16One thing I like about Meat Guy's skewers is I can try a bit of new kinds of meat before I commit to buying a bunch of it. However I didn't like these, I guess horse meat isn't for me. It was the texture that got me, the only thing I really liked with the spice that Meat Guy added. The taste of the meat was fine, but I prefer something more tender. I can see how somebody would like these. Give them a try, it's good to try new things!
