Description
How about some camel? One hump or two? Many cultures eat camel as a delicacy on special occasions. It's a red meat, similar to beef, but very rich, dark, and smooth.
Recently Australia has been pushing it on everyone. Somebody decided in the early 1900s that it would be a good idea to let some wild camels lose in the Australian desert and they've been giving everyone headaches ever since. We use a tender cut of meat to make these cubes and it's also reputed to be healthier than other red meats because it's slightly leaner. In a few years time, I guarantee everyone in California will be eating camel burgers with camel-chinos.
We cut this meat into cubes and they come with 10 long bamboo sticks so you can make skewers, kebabs, kabobs, whatever you call them, with a mix of vegetables if you like. These cubes are seasoned, vacuum packed and then immediately frozen.
Serving Suggestion
Some say camel tastes like a cross between lamb and beef. These cubes are perfect for giving this kind of meat a try!
Make your own skewers with vegetables and throw them on the grill or in the frying pan for a few minutes. The cubes are relatively small in size, so they won't need long. Don't overcook them! You will be surprised how good this taste.
Thawing
The thawing time depends on many factors such as size, weight, packaging, and type of meat. Please refer to our thawing chart ≫here≪
