Delicious Home-cooking using American Chicken

Korean-style home-cooked meal using game hen (whole chicken)

This is a common dish served in many Korean households. You may even have already tried it once! Here’s a comforting Samgyetang recipe to warm you up.

<INGREDIENTS>
  • Game hen 1 whole
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Sticky rice 3 tbsp
  • Sesame Oil 2 tsp
  • Water 1L
  • Sake 100ml
  • Jujube 5 pcs
  • Roasted chestnut 5 pcs
  • Pine nut 10 pcs
  • Goji berry 10 pcs
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Ginger (slice) 1 knob
  • Leek 1 stalk

  • Leek, shredded red pepper, salt, coarse pepper, coriander, kimchi as you like




<Directions>
  1. 1.Wash the sticky rice. Soak in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water. Add sesame oil and set aside.
  2. 2.Soak the jujube in water then set aside.
  3. 3.Wash the chicken and wipe off the excess moisture. Rub some salt on the belly area, then stuff with the rice, 1 jujube, 1 chestnut, and 1 garlic. Close the opening with a toothpick.

  4. 4.Place the chicken in a pot, add water, sake, crushed garlic, ginger, green onions, pine nuts, goji berries, and the rest of the jujube, and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes, while occasionally removing the foam. Add the rest of the chestnuts gradually.
  5. 5.Top with sliced leeks and shredded red pepper if you like.
  6. ※When you break the chicken apart, mix the sticky rice with the soup and adjust the flavor with salt & pepper. Add coriander, kimchi, etc. to your liking.
  7. ※Add ginseng to make it taste more authentic.

Thai-style home-cooked meal using game hen (whole chicken)

Let's try another popular home-cooked meal from Thailand! This time, it’s the delicious Khao Man Gai. This dish is very popular in Thailand, and a lot of Japanese people also love it!

<INGREDIENTS> 2 SERVINGS
  • Game hen 1 whole
  • Salt 1/2 tbsp
  • A.Water 500ml
  • A.Sake 50ml
  • A.Ginger 1 knob
  • A.Garlic (minced) 1 clove
  • A.Black Pepper (whole) 5 pcs
  • B.Ginger (chopped) 7.5g
  • B.Garlic (chopped) 7.5g
  • B.Miso10g
  • B.Oyster sauce 1/2 tbsp
  • B.Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • B.soy sauce 1/2 tbsp
  • B.Lime/lemon juice 1/2 tbsp
  • B.Soup 1/2 tbsp
  • B.Red pepper (sliced) 1/2 tsp
  • B.Coriander (chopped) as you like

  • Cucumber, Tomato, Coriander, Red onion, Lime


<DIRECTIONS>
  1. 1. Wash the chicken and wipe off the excess moisture. Rub salt on the chicken and place in a pot along with A ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat. Simmer for 15 minutes, then let it cool.

  4. 2. Separate the ingredients and soup. Cook the rice in the soup.
  5. 3. Mix the B ingredients to make sauce.
  6. 4. Cut the chicken open with scissors, remove the bones, and cut into bite-sized pieces.

  7. 5. On a platter, place the rice made in the soup, the chicken, and some cucumbers, tomatoes, coriander, red onions, and lime. Pour some sauce on the chicken, and enjoy!
  8. ※Make the rice using the broth to make it more delicious! If there’s not enough liquid, just add more water.

American home-cooking using chicken legs

Authentic American fried chicken! Each chicken leg is about 200g. Great paired with some soda! So addicting!

<INGREDIENTS>
  • Chicken legs 2pcs.

  • Egg 1/2
  • Milk 100ml

  • Salt 1g

  • A. Flour 10g
  • A. cake flour 50g
  • A. garlic powder 1/2 tsp
  • A. Ginger powder 1/2 tsp
  • A. Paprika powder 1 tsp
  • A. Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • A. White pepper 1/2 tsp
  • A. Salt 3.5g
  • A. Consommé 1/2 tsp
  • A. All spice 1/2 tsp
  • A. Oregano 1/2 tsp

<DIRECTIONS>
  1. 1. Cut the cartilage on the joint with a kitchen knife and divide it into two equal parts.

  3. 2. Mix the egg and milk.
  4. 3. Soak the chicken in the egg mixture for about 30 mins.
  5. 4. Take the chicken out of the mixture and season with 1g salt. Boil in a pot for about 5 minutes, take it out, then let cool naturally.
  6. 5. Mix the A ingredients to make the breading. Dip the chicken in the egg mixture, then coat with the breading.

  7. 6. Again, dip it in the mixture and coat with the breading.
  8. 7. Deep-fry in 180℃ oil.

American home cooking using turkey pastrami

Turkey pastrami sandwich

<INGREDIENTS>
  • Cereal bread 2 pcs.
  • Mustard mayonnaise as you like

  • Turkey pastrami 15 slices
  • Red cabbage 40g
  • Carrots 40g
  • Lettuce 50g
  • Egg 1 piece
  • sliced cheese 1 slice


  • ~CRANBERRY DRESSING~
  • Dried cranberries 20g
  • lemon juice 10g
  • honey 10g
  • White wine vinegar 10g
  • Olive oil 20g
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste



<DIRECTIONS>
  1. 1. Shred purple cabbage and carrots and lightly sprinkle with salt.
  2. 2. Make cranberry dressing:Soak cranberries in hot water to soften them.Combine all the dressing ingredients in a food processor.
  3. 3. Drain the water from the veggies and mix with the dressing.
  4. 4. Make a sunny side up egg.
  5. 5. Spread mustard mayo on bread and start building your sandwich.Between the two pieces, add lettuce, purple cabbage, egg, pastrami, cheese and carrots. While pressing firmly, wrap the sandwich with wax paper.


  6. 6. Let it chill out in the fridge, and then cut it up!
