THIS WILL UP YOUR RECIPE REPERTOIRE! TIPS FOR USING A HOT PLATE
Some of you may already have a hotplate on hand. However, you may find that you don’t really use it all that often… What a waste! Hot plates can be used not only for regular dishes, but also for events and parties! Today, we’ll be introducing some tips and recipes so you can use your hotplate more often!
MASTER THE PLATE
Having a hotplate at home can be a real life-saver especially when you’re having people over for a home party! Some of these hotplates come with special replacement plates to make takoyaki, or one that’s a bit deeper and can be used as a pot. Most of these are iron plates, but it can also depend based on the attachment that you are using. Understanding the features of each plate can help you choose the perfect plate to use for what you are cooking!
AVOID DAMAGING YOUR HOTPLATE
Hotplates usually have a special treated surface in order to avoid food from sticking or the iron plate from rusting. This surface can be damaged if you use a steel wool to clean it, or silverware to cook on it. Avoid using these types of tools when cooking with a hotplate. We recommend using a heat-resistant silicone spatula or chopsticks to avoid any damage. If you’re cutting meat, don’t do it directly on the hotplate. Transfer the meat to a cutting board before cutting!
BE AWARE OF YOUR POWER CONSUMPTION WHEN COOKING!
A hot plate is an electrical appliance that consumes a lot of power. Depending on the brand you have, you will tend to use upwards of about 1,000w of electricity while cooking on a hot plate. We would advise that you turn off other appliances that aren’t being used as the breaker may trip if it gets overloaded.
EASY! LEVEL UP YOUR USUAL MEALS WITH THESE SIMPLE HOT PLATE RECIPES!
Hot plate recipes can easily be made using a regular frying pan or pot. The difference is: you can enjoy your guests’ company if you place the hot plate in the middle of the table and cook together! Let’s kick things off with these easy hot plate meat recipes!
