Description

These whole chickens are great. Pop one in the oven and in 45 minutes you have dinner for at least two. You can also purchase a Pop-up timer from us if you check out the related items listed below.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

You can season this bird generously with all the spices you like. I remember that my mother used a lot of mustard to bath the chicken, giving it a nice spicy touch, but that part is all up to you. 


1. Preheat oven to about 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Place chicken in a roasting pan, and season generously inside and out with salt, pepper and anything else you like.

3. Place some butter, onions and sliced apples in the chicken cavity.

4. Bake uncovered for up to 1 hour and 15 minutes in the preheated oven, to a minimum internal temperature of 180 degrees F (82 degrees C). Remove from heat, and baste with melted margarine and drippings. Cover with aluminum foil, and allow to rest about 30 minutes before serving.

久々のローストチキン

クリスマスはステーキのことが多いのですが、久々に丸鳥を焼くことにしました。
(詰め物:もち麦・米・くるみ・オリーブ・玉ねぎ・人参・セロリ)
電子レンジのオーブンですが、230度で70分、最初の30分は逆さにして焼くと、焼き汁がうまく回って胸肉もしっとりすると何かで読んだのでやってみました。火を止めてからしばらくオーブンに放置して、ちょうど良い火の入り具合でした。皮はパリッと、中はしっとり。
3人で少し残るくらいの、ちょうど良い量でしたが、翌日のチキンサラダには足りないくらいだったので、、次回はもう少し大きいのにします。

All time favourite. So easy and tasty! I have a bit poor Japanese microwave-oven and I cooked 2x90 min in 200C. Chick was seasoned by marinade: olive oil, cayenne, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, chili and provence herb mix. I was able to enjoy some leftovers only as my son ate almost whole thing! Definitely will buy this one again and again and again...
