The greatest Alpine product since snow. Spek is cured ham that is then smoked and aged for months. During this process it shrinks by over 50% and the flavors get wonderfully concentrated. These slices are so thin you can see through them and they melt in your mouth. Spek goes great with fruits like melon, it can also turn a cheese sandwich into bistro fair. This stuff is so good it can even make tofu tasty!
The maker of this (and of our salamis) is really one of the premier ham makers in all of Europe, they've won loads of gold medals for their products and in my opinion this is some of the highest quality cured meat I've ever tasted.
