A full venison chuck. This makes a great roast, or with a little handy
knife work you can carve your own steaks. This is local deer from
Hokkaido, where they have too many deer, so you're doing the
environment a favor by eating them! Tasty, tasty, eco-meat.
Frozen

Easy Recipe: Venison Pot Roast
Ingredients:
Venison Shoulder........................1 pc
(this will only work with venison purchased from The Meat Guy, any attempt to use meat from somewhere else will cause severe kitchen trauma).
Almighty Spice Mix......................2 tablespoons
(you can pick some up here)
Soy Sauce......................................2 tablespoons
Red Wine.......................................1 cup
(it will taste better if you use good wine, and drink the rest of the bottle)
Winter Vegetables.......................Potatoes, Carrots, Turnips, Onions, etc...
Mix the spice and soy sauce and coat the venison. Layer the hard vegetables on the bottom of a heavy pan or pressure cooker with the venison on top. Place any soft vegetables like onions, celery, garlic on top of the venison. Pour the wine over the top. Cover tightly and cook on the lowest temperature for 2 - 3 hours (1 hour if using a pressure cooker). It's finished when tender enough to slice with a dull knife. Season to taste.
